Cavan Redmond
Senior Vice President & Group President, Pfizer Diversified Businesses

Cavan M. Redmond is Senior Vice President, Pfizer Inc, a member of Pfizer's Executive Leadership Team, and Group President, Pfizer Diversified Businesses, responsible for overseeing four of Pfizer's nine global business units – Animal Health, Capsugel, Consumer Healthcare and Nutrition.

Cavan has more than 20 years of healthcare experience spanning pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and consumer health. He has held leadership positions with responsibility for marketing, pharmaceutical and biotechnology research and development, market research and information technology.

Before joining Pfizer, Cavan was the President of Wyeth Consumer Healthcare and Animal Health Businesses, responsible for all facets of the division's global operations and R&D. While at Wyeth, he was a member of the Wyeth Management Committee and several other corporate committees. Previously at Wyeth, Cavan served as the first Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Biopharma Business Unit, with responsibility for building and growing a global biotech business. In this role he led global commercial performance as well as U.S. marketing and sales. Prior to this appointment, Cavan was Senior Vice President of Global Strategic Marketing for Wyeth and worked in R&D as a Project Team Leader.

Before joining Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, Cavan worked at Sandoz in the United States and in Switzerland. He began working in Biotechnology in the early 1990's when Sandoz formed the Cytokine Development Unit (CDU). Within the CDU, he worked in both the Commercial and R&D organizations.

Cavan earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland and a master's degree from Johns-Hopkins University, where he also completed a post-graduate fellowship in organizational change management. He has worked in both U.S. and European pharmaceutical markets and is the author of several pharmaceutical industry-related articles.
